This is a cautionary tale about being overzealous in your job search. The story I’m about to tell you is both true and truly scary how incompetently a company can handle your sensitive information. I have no intention of name-dropping that company as their time will surely come.
I was fired from my job the same day I sat down to write this article about my nightmarish experience working there. In normal circumstances, this may have brought me a feeling of dread. I’ve only been fired once in my life and I remember that day like it was yesterday. I walked into the office per usual, boss calls me to his office and lets me know they were letting me go. I remember getting a pit in my stomach that I couldn’t shake- quite the opposite happened this time. I was so relieved to read that email that I ran around the house like I hit a grand slam. Now that I’m sitting back down and not acting like a madman, I wanted to share three recommendations to prevent others from having my same experience.
