COVID Was Crazy

Covid 19 has been the biggest event many people have seen in their entire lives. The disruption, confusion, and fear that it caused are unlike anything I’ve seen since 9/11 or H1M1. It exceeds every other world event I can recall in multitudes, and yet, we all managed to experience it differently from one another.

I chose the beginning of 2021 as the perfect opportunity for me to pursue something that has been my passion for years: coding.

Where Coding Began

My first LLC was a website building company that I started with my now ex-fiance. I enjoyed both the sales and coding aspect of the endeavor but ultimately dissolved the business within the first year. Years had passed since I had last coded, but COVID provided the perfect opportunity for me to get back to my roots!

I enrolled in Flatiron Academy. After doing much research, I felt that this was the school that would allow me to have the best opportunity to find a job after graduation. Getting back into school wasn’t as simple as I had imagined it would be, but I did my best.

My father’s health had started to slip and I found myself out of town often to take him to appointments, check on him, etc. I had to withdraw from the program and focus on getting him well. Three months after my withdrawal, my father passsed away. The news was devastating, to say the least. It left me with self-doubt, grief, confusion, and a myriad of other…
